Drills and Exercises
Exercises are a key component of an organization's level of preparedness. PTE Consulting uses the Homeland Security Exercise Evaluation Program (HSEEP) concepts in all its exercise planning and development. We develop walkthroughs, workshops, or orientation seminars, tabletops, functional and full-scale exercises. Each is designed to test and validate plans and procedures for improvement and corrective actions. Exercises enhance knowledge of plans, allow members to improve their own performance, and identify opportunities to improve capabilities to respond to real events.
We develop, facilitate, and evaluate drills so people can practice what they need to do to protect themselves and carry out assigned tasks. We develop, facilitate, and evaluate orientation, tabletop, functional, and full-scale exercises to identify planning and resource gaps and familiarize team members with plans. Exercises play a vital role in national preparedness by enabling key stakeholders to test and validate plans and capabilities and identify both capability gaps and areas for improvement. A well-designed exercise provides a low-risk environment to test capabilities, familiarize personnel with roles and responsibilities, and foster meaningful interaction and communication across organizations.
